About KIKUGO

KIKUGO helps Japanese learners turn difficult Netflix subtitle lines into explanations and reviewable cards without leaving the scene.

What KIKUGO does

The Chrome extension is designed for learners who already read kana and use native Japanese media for immersion. A learner clicks one Japanese subtitle line, receives a sentence-level explanation, saves useful lines, and exports selected cards for Anki review.

Who our guides are for

Our guides serve roughly JLPT N5–N1 learners who want practical help with Japanese subtitles, listening, sentence mining, grammar in context, and tool selection. We write around the real workflow the product supports rather than around unrelated language-learning topics.

Who publishes the content

Articles are published by the KIKUGO Editorial Team, the organization responsible for researching, writing, and maintaining KIKUGO learning resources. We do not attach invented personal credentials to organizational work.

How we earn trust

Platform facts are checked against official sources where available. Japanese examples are written for the teaching point rather than copied from protected dialogue. Time-sensitive claims are updated, qualified, or removed.
