We prefer first-party documentation for changing platform behavior, including Netflix Help Center pages for audio and subtitle availability and Google Search Central for search requirements. We link sources near the claim when the source materially helps the reader verify it.
Original Japanese examples
Teaching examples are written for the grammar, reading, or register point being explained. We check the intended reading, naturalness, formality, and English or French meaning. We do not copy dialogue from films or series into tests and datasets.
Product and comparison claims
KIKUGO claims are based on the product workflow and current public offer. Competitor descriptions use publicly documented capabilities and state which learner goal each tool fits. We do not publish benchmark scores until the same dataset, settings, rubric, and run date can be shown.
Freshness and corrections
We add an updated date only after a substantive change. Catalog availability, prices, interfaces, and feature coverage can change, so durable guides explain how to verify the current state instead of promising a fixed title list.
Use of assisted drafting
Drafting tools may help organize research or propose wording. Publication still requires source checks, Japanese-language review, internal-link review, metadata validation, and automated tests. Unsupported claims and invented experience are removed.
Limits
KIKUGO is an educational software publisher, not an official JLPT body, Netflix representative, or AnkiWeb affiliate. Level labels are practical study guidance, not official ratings.
